Cassetteboy vs The Apprentice

Now I'm not a big Apprentice fan, but this Cassetteboy clip made me laugh till I cried (thanks to my good drag queen friend, Lulu De Smirnoff).

I then went and checked out his YouTube channel. I am now a complete fan. I really want to be able to do this myself.

I don't read much and I know that my writing suffers as a result. Writing really is an alien way for me to express myself, but I can see a real opportunity for talking directly to an audience in a smart and expressive way with this medium.

Please go and check out more of Cassetteboy's work, I promise you will not be disappointed. There really is something for everyone.

The Prodigy Kill One Big Weeknd

What a way to kick off the festival season. The Prodigy absolutely kicked ass last night and Chase and Status come in a close second.

Just four weeks to go till the Isl of White Festival. I got me some butterflies already. Turn this up LOUD!

Spring is still springing

I took a couple of pictured of the dog's in the park today. I can't believe how nice the weather has been. Just look at all the daisy's in the grass. The forecast is for more sun and mild spring temperatures.

And Fiona we have real English Strawberries growing in the tubs at the front of the house. They should just about be ready for your arrival.

We got a new car today

This is nothing new in my world, I am lucky like that as I work for Mercedes Benz UK headquarters. I get a new car every 9 months so I have been lucky enough to have had at least 7 or 8 brand new Mercs and the same amount of Smart cars in various guises and at the moment I drive a brand new Jeep Patriot (for pulling the caravan).

This one is a bit different though we actually paid for this one. Bart and I are now the proud owners of a 1997 VW Golf GTI: The most exciting thing for me is that she has a tow bar. So we will be able to drag Mabel to BugJam this year and qualify for the much discounted tickets for being in a VW, joy of joys. I'm not sure what we are going to call her yet but I was thinking maybe Imelda as she is a bit of a symbol of 90's excess. She has gone a bit down market these days as she only cost us £800 but she is in great condition.

I am looking forward to using her to the full.

Meet the brains of the animal world

It might just be me but I found this report fascinating. Click on the picture to go to the BBC news page.

I will never look at a Crow or a Magpie in the same way ever again.

£10500 is that too much for happiness?

Click on the picture to go to the eBay advert.

I saw this van or one very much like it at Glastonbury last year. It was for sale at the same price as this one. I have had a nagging regret ever since I saw it last summer. That is why didn't I just buy it while I had the chance (only ten were made for the right hand drive UK market). The one obvious answer to that question is I don't have ten and a half grand, but since I saw her again I just cant help myself from wondering - what if I just borrowed the money.

It's a classic in waiting, and comfy.

So friends help me. Should I make my life significantly more uncomfortable both financially and personally just to be VW happy or should I just let it lie?

More VW Pictures

Saturday night is party night and dressing up is the done thing. How cute is little Leela, I didn't spot her until I checked back over the photos. You would think that a bending robot would be a dangerous thing around 15 acres of priceless metal.

This 13 window split screen has been blinged to within an inch of it's life. I loved this one to.

A view from the camp ground.

Bart and I enjoyed the bumper cars at the fun fair.

These two Beetles did the quarter mile at an amazing speed.

And these two split buses did it faster than a Subaru Impreza. Now that is impressive.

A Beetle that is right up my street. Ratty and perfectly accessorized.

Lovely old Samba cuing for his turn on the drag strip.

More pictures and maybe a bit of a review to come later.

The count down starts for BugJam in July and the man says this could be the best summer in years. I have to agree, we have the Isle of Wight festival and BugJam to look forward to. Sometimes I love my life. Anyone wont to join us?

Some pictures from Big Bang last weekend.

Anyone that knows me knows just how I feel about these rear light. I have a tingle.

Beautifully tweaked type 3 Square back with the rare AC.

This Square back is lower than a rattle snakes dangly bits. I loved it.

Bart enjoying the drag strip.

Me just enjoying everything.
