Storm goes for a deeper louder voice
Tomorrow Storm is off to spend the morning with a fellow VW enthusiast. While there I am hoping that he will have a total ICE makeover. The head unit is staying (for now) but everything else has to go.
I have an expensive component system that I had fitted in my last none company car. Admittedly is is a bit aged at 6 years old but it didn't half sound good and it was only used for a year before it was packed away. I have missed it ever since.
1k amp that drives a pair of front 6" JBL GT series speakers with separate tweeters that fit discreetly in the corners of the dash. Mids are a pair of JBL GT series 9" speakers with silver cones and in the back a bespoke bass box with a pair 12" Prowler 600w speakers. This all adds up to a deep, rich and beautiful sound at normal volumes and it stays even and clear when you pump it up.
I just hope that 5 years in the loft hasn't left them all useless. They look a little like this but mine are all silver and shiny. You won't see them though as I am having them stealth fitted so that you can't see what you hear.
I have a spare Sony face off CD head unit and a 12 disk changer if anyone wont's it.

Owning a VW is a way of life
And one I intend to enjoy to the full.
Bart and I took a very long road trip today (not in distance but time), to collect our new baby. She/he (I haven't decided yet) is a 2005 SWB VW Transporter T30 2 ltr turbo-diesel, fully colour-coded, ply-lined, insulated and fully carpeted van. With full chrome pack, including front side and rear chrome bars, front grill and all door handles have had the chrome magic worked on them. For fun there is a tv, dvd, iPod, blue tooth, stereo head unit up front. It also has a 15" tv in the rear with a custom built bass box and amp to drive it. It's got blue LED lights twinkling in the roof lining. Bliss.
I am opening up the blog for name suggestions. I think he is a boy, but I'm open to suggestions.
Stay tuned no matter how good he looks now I will be adding my own stamp over the next few months/years so I will update pictures and stories as things develop.
PS I think we have come up with a name it's Storm, this came to me as I was driving home today(though it only just shone into my consciousness). Where the black wing mirror arm meets the body of the mirror housing it looked to me a little like a Storm Troopers arm so Storm it is. As this name may score me some points with the old ball and chain I think it's a done deal. I would like to thank you all for at least thinking about it for the 10 seconds it has taken you to read this far down.

You may need to turn your screen around, sorry I did try to spin it but hay.

I wish my plan A was as good as this guys plan B
I like this a lot, Plan B is a very talented boy indeed. Rapper, singer, producer and actor.
You can see another side of his talent here with the equally brilliant End Credits. For those of you in the US you can here and see him soon in the movie and on the soundtrack to Harry Brown in witch he also acts along side Michael Caine.
For the un-initiated the dancing is from the Northern Sole scene see this old post for more.
